Now you probably want to change the appearance of your text, and if you do just go to:
If you do not see the left panel/window with all the slides, go to View > Normal.
To change the font, or the text size, or justify the text, or make it bold, the best is to click on the tab
on that panel that says "Outline". You can change the text color in there too.
Then click somewhere in there, type "Ctrl A" to select it all, and make the modifications you want.
Then when you're done you can click the tab "Slides" in the left panel to go back to the usual view.
To change the color of the text box on all slides do this:
Go to:
View > Master > Slide master
Click on the side of the textbox, and go to:
Format > Place holder
Change its appearance to your taste in the window that opens (colors and lines tab). You can change
its color and adjust its transparency under "fill", and you can even add a colored line around it if you
want (under "line"). You can change the text color too. (It won't change my font style though, not sure
why). When you're done click close in the floating toolbar.
And if you want the same picture to appear on all slides, this is the place to do it!
Go to
Insert > Picture > From file and browse for it.
(You may want to add an icon just to insert pictures: go to
Tools > customize > Insert and browse for the picture icon.
You can also insert a picture as a background, so that it occupies the entire slide:
Format > Background > click on the little arrow at the bottom of the window > select Fill effects, click
the "Picture" tab, click "select picture" and browse.
Note:
I personally think it best to choose a large font, at least 18 with Times New Roman, especially if you
are going to post it on YouTube: no matter what, there is some loss of quality even in HD, and it's the
text that's on the frontline of this particular battlefield.
Slide transitions:
If you want to change how long the slide lasts / how fast the text shows, then pop the hood and fiddle
with the animation I applied to it. Go to:
View > Master > Slide master
Slide show > custom animation ; in the right panel that opens click on the little arrow on the right of
the line in the large white window, go to "effect options", select the "effect" tab, and play around with
the delay.
If you want to change the type of transition, say, from "fade" to "push left" go to:
Slideshow > slide transition, and just click one you like.
If you do this while in the "slide master" it applies to all slides. If you want to do it just for selected
ones, watch out: the transition refers to the transition between the slide before the one you are on
and the one you are on (not the next one!).
