HELP US SAVE "MOONLIGHT", AND WE WILL MENTION YOUR PRODUCTS ON THE INTERNET

The TV-show "Moonlight" has recently been cancelled by CBS, and is currently in search of a new network.

Provided that you become one of the sponsors for new episodes of the show,

WE ONLINE FANS WOULD USE OUR MOONLIGHT "BANNERS" (I.E. PICTURES) TO MENTION THE
PRODUCTS OF YOUR COMPANY.

Such "banners" are used on forums, and on MYSPACE and FACEBOOK.
We could also post banners specifically designed to express gratitude towards your company, again
mentioning your products.

Moonlight's fans want to help make Moonlight a financially profitable venture for its sponsors. We realise that
this is the only way for a show  to stay on the air, no matter what its artistic qualities.

Through their online presence on forums, but also myspace and facebook, Moonlight fans have access to a
target audience that many networks are struggling to retain. This is true even of our members who do not
belong to this target audience: surprisingly perhaps, they too are very active on the Internet for the sake of
sharing their passion for Moonlight. They therefore constitute just as precious a resource for this project
than the people your company may be
directly interested in.

And we can reach an audience far
BEYOND the Moonlight fan-base, thanks to myspace and facebook.

Furthermore, we believe that this is likely to have a greater impact than the MySpace, etc... adds, at least
initially, because it is still unusual, so it would attract attention. This would be true beyond the fan-base.
In addition, within the fan-base itself, people know that these are the products of a company that pays for
the show to be on the air. Consequently, fans would notice these products much more
than they would
traditional forms of advertisement,
and being grateful towards your company, would be much more inclined
to buy them. We already have a tradition of writing to companies that advertise during Moonlight in order to
express our gratitude for their support of the show, and state that we are buying their products in recognition
of it. The present offer is an extension of this tradition.

Although it is difficult to estimate our exact numbers online, the fact that Moonlight was voted "best new
drama" in the People's Choice Award by
10 million votes, with voting taking place on a site that allowed
people to vote only once a day is, we believe, an indication that our community is not merely vocal, but also
numerous enough for our offer to be of interest to your company, all the more so that our reach online
extends beyond our fan-base itself.

We, Moonlight fans, are ready to do this because we love Moonlight passionately enough. Few other shows
can offer such fan-bases, irrespective of their ratings: it takes a cult favourite.

Beyond the present offer, we are of course open to any other suggestions on the part of your company and
of the network that would broadcast Moonlight. If you would like to discuss such suggestions, "touch base"
with us by any means you wish.

If you are interested in this offer, let us know but above all, also inform the networks that are considering
picking up Moonlight, that is, at present: CW, USA network, Sci-Fi channel and FX.

(As the show has recently been cancelled, they are naturally far less than peaceful at present, but that is
beside the point)

About Moonlight:

Moonlight is a supernatural romance thriller produced by Warner Bros. Television and Silver Pictures.
It premiered on September 28, 2007, airing on Friday nights at 9:00/8:00c, on CBS. It began growing a
fan-base almost instantly. Due to the writers' strike only 16 episodes of its first season were shot and aired,
and it suffered a 3 months hiatus between the 12th and 13th episodes. Despite the latter, its average
ratings after were similar to those before this hiatus. The media reported that they, as well as the industry,
expected Moonlight to get renewed. CBS announced on 14th May 2008 that the show is in fact not part of
its fall line-up. Although the actual reasons for this are unknown to the fan-base, it is rumoured that they
were of a financial nature, rather than related to expectations regarding the show's performance in the
ratings, or its artistic direction. Moonlight is a captivating show with a lot of potential. The media, as
surprised as we are by its cancellation, are stating that this decision is a big mistake on the part of CBS
(see for example the relevant part of Matt Rousch's article "
Finale Fever: The Critic's Notebook"). As far as
we have been told by our contacts at Warner Bros., it is currently negociating with the CW, and USA
network, Sci-Fi channel and FX have expressed interest in a possible pick up.
