Despite how hurt and demoralised we all feel,
IT IS SO ON !
to get our Moonlight picked up by another network!
SO DON'T DESPAIR, DON'T GIVE UP: CBS MAY HAVE STAKED OUR MICK, BUT STAKES DON'T KILL MOONLIGHT
VAMPIRES, AND RIGHT NOW OUR VAMPIRE NEEDS US MORE THAN EVER!

When you post there, I suggest that you include in your post a statement to the effect that you want to work with the network
to make Moonlight financially worthwhile for it, by attracting advertisers or any other suggestion the network has for us.

project succeeds.

As you can see we painfully lack e-mail addresses to do this. There is a scary
number of links for us to send this in the "contact advertisers" page on this site,
but that is going to take forever. I suggest we rather do the following: pick some of
the companies for which we do not have emails, and try and find some, for some of
the big suits in the company. That will be FAR more efficient than using those links
I think, because with emails we can easily flood them with our offer. Just email me
your finds at:

Ok, people here's the idea(s). It seems clear from the noises that the press has emitted that the
issue here is: we need bucks. Right now WB and Joel are going network door to network door
to see who would be willing to dish out enough of the cash. So maybe we should try and kill two
bats with one stone. By now we are used to the idea that we need to write companies that have
advertised during the show, in the hope that they will express their desire to continue doing so
to the networks. Now how about this: in addition, let's try to find sponsors for our show
ourselves too. We are busy making a big splash by our adds right now advertising ourselves as
a "fanbase for sale" to the networks, let's do the same towards sponsors.
(BTW: see ad below ;-))
(Now I've seen on other forums posts to the effect that 8 million x  5 dollars a month = 40 million
which is plenty. Well sure but other fanbases before ours have tried and failed believe me.
Don't confuse fanbase with viewership. We have raised, like, 10 000 dollars in 3 days for the
ads give or take a few thousands, that would make 100 000 a month. A TV show like ours is of
the order of several millions per month. Maybe 10 million, I don't know, but something on that
kind of scale. It still would be interesting to know how much Warner is having difficulty coming up
with, just so we know. But on the face of it, directly giving our own bucks is unlikely to be our
strength. So let's try and figure out what is and market that.)

So below is a link to a proposed "sales pitch" to the attention of such possible sponsors. It is
phrased in such a way that we can use it BOTH when begging advertisers to tell the networks
that they'd like their adds to be aired during the show, AND to tell these same companies that
they have the more direct option of dishing out some bucks for our services (remember, that's
the product we are offering them here: us as a fanbase, not Moonlight per se, in order to raise
bucks for the show all by our scheming little selves). Who knows, maybe some companies will
indeed bite the hook, agree to work with us, and dish out the cash we so desperately need.
If they don't bite, at least by doing this we are stating loud and clear to the networks that we
want to work constructively with whoever is in to save Moonlight. Even if these suggestions turn
out to be unpractical, that's a great way of sending out our message. But please, don't go off
and print out this stuff and mass mail it yet. We first want to give each other feedback on this.

Please note that the take home message here is not the specific suggestions
themselves, although it is essential that you give feedback on them, but the fact that
we want to bring SOMETHING to the negotiating table. If someone out there is willing to
talk to us, we'll figure out the details together later. In the meantime the responsibility seems to
have befallen upon us to come up with suggestions about this, since nobody else has, so... we
have to start somewhere.

As Leeser informed us, at WB "Everybody's really diggin' the support." Maybe we can give them
even more reasons to dig us! I truly do think that we have a lot of potential with the talents and
motivation that we have. Let's just hope that someone out there figures out how to use it for the
benefit of all parties! So there.

MoonlightLine's site for this, since the banners were advertised as being there for the taking. I'd
really like to give credit to each individual artist when I get around to it, in the mean time here's
